21 DAYS OF PRAYER & FASTING

Jan 2nd - 22nd 2023

21 Days of Prayer & Fasting is a time where we intentionally seek God every day in prayer and fasting collectively as a church. Together, we believe for God to move in powerful ways and create a lasting impact on our lives.

Prayer

While fasting can result in many wonderful spiritual and physical benefits like increased focus, clarity, and weight loss through healthy choices - it is not a diet.

The origins for what we call  the Daniel Fast can be found in Daniel 10:2-3: the prophet Daniel engaged in a period of prayer and fasting while seeking God for his people.

“At that time I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks. I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips (Dan. 10:2-3).

Though scripture notes what Daniel did not eat, it doesn’t provide an explicit breakdown of his full diet.  The food list is a guide to aid in creating boundaries, not a religious set of do’s and don’ts.  The details of the fast might vary from person to person; however, what matters most is making a physical sacrifice so that we can increase spiritually.  The focus of this fast should be prayer, worship, and the Word of God.

We encourage you to incorporate the daily scriptures in your prayers. Some As you declare these spiritual truths in faith, expect the Kingdom to come to your life, family, and community!
